Muscat: An accident on the Batinah Expressway has caused an oil leak, the Royal Oman Police (ROP) has said.

Police officials revealed that one person was injured when an oil tank turned over. ROP has also warned motorists to exercise caution while driving on that stretch.

In a statement online, ROP said: “For users of the Al Batinah expressway, an accident occurred after a [truck carrying oil] deteriorated in the Wilayat of Khaboura. As a result of the accident, one person has been injured; fuel has leaked on to the road, please pay attention and be cautious.”
