Muscat: The Ayn Khor waterfall, in Dhofar governorate, has witnessed a heavy flow of water in Khareef this year, making it one of the interesting waterfalls to visit when in the governorate.

Al Ayn is located in Raysut, in the Wilayat of Salalah, about 500m from the main road. The crystal clear water’s source is located in Wadi Jardum around 20 km away from Salalah, which attracts hundreds of tourists, citizens, and residents.

What makes Ayn Khor unique is that the waterfall only appears from June to September. This happens only when the source of the waterfall reaches full strength after experiencing a period of moderate to heavy rainfall.

One can reach the waterfalls using a regular car, but it is better to use a 4×4 in case of unexpected weather changes.
